  1. Were the drawings drawn before she went to Auschwitz, or when she was in Auschwitz?

  2. I'm fairly certain that these pictures were drawn by Hana while she was at Theresienstadt. Perhaps you could find out more about Theresienstadt, the children and their artwork.

  3. A sign over the enterance to Auschwitz read''ARBEIT MACHT FREI.''(in German)No prisoners became free, however, until the camp was liberated in 1945.

  4. Hana's drawings reminded me of how many amazing actors, artists, and normal every day helpful people were trapped by the nozies and wounded or killed. It makes me angry because most of them were innocent and their deaths were so unfair

  5. Does anyone know how Hana's pictures came into Fumiko Ishioka's possession.

    1. Fumiko contacted George Brady in Toronto and he was the one who sent her the pictures and drawing. It is writing on the book.
